The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with usability testing methods, accessibility audits, heuristic evaluations, and a track record of translating findings into actionable design improvements. NN/g or HFI certifications are highly preferred. Key Responsibilities: Plan, conduct, and analyze formative and summative usability studies, including moderated/unmoderated tests Perform heuristic evaluations, cognitive walkthroughs, and accessibility assessments Collaborate closely with designers, developers, and product managers to improve user experience based on findings Create and maintain usability testing protocols, documentation, and research repositories Define and measure usability KPIs (task success rate, error rate, time on task, etc.) Advocate for evidence-based design decisions and usability best practices across teams Support the development of design systems and product guidelines with usability input Help train and mentor cross-functional teams on usability principles and tools Bachelor’s or Master’s in Human Factors, Cognitive Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, or a related field 2–4 years of experience in usability engineering, UX research, or a similar role Strong foundation in usability principles and testing methodologies Experience with tools like UserTesting, Lookback, Maze, Hotjar, Optimal Workshop, or similar Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Axure, or Adobe XD Strong statistical and analytical skills for interpreting test results Experience documenting research and presenting to technical and non-technical stakeholders Understanding of WCAG accessibility guidelines and inclusive design
